About SomNOG
The Somali Network Operators’ Group (SomNOG) is a forum for Somali networking professionals to develop technical capacities, share experiences and collaborate on developing expertise and competency through trainings and research in networking and Internet technologies. SomNOG is a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers which aims to contribute to the growing eco-system of Internet service providers and consumers by building relevant technology expertise. The platform provided by the organization will enable a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration. Participation in SomNOG’s activities is open to anyone interested in sharing their experiences and technical knowledge or learning from others.
The second SomNOG National Conference on Internet Technologies will be held October 2017 in Mogadishu, Somalia. SomNOG2 Conference aims to address the Internet technologies, Networks as well as Systems and Services administration.

SCOPE
SomNOG2 is an annual ICT conference focusing on Internet Technologies and open-source platforms. The emphasis is also put on real world applications in Internetworking Solutions. Therefore, all contributors and researchers are strongly encouraged to demonstrate and present their research work.
PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors are invited to submit original Papers (written in English) in word format, Presentations and Tutorials (PPT or PDF). Only papers not published or submitted for publication elsewhere can be submitted. Papers can be two types: full (9pages) or short (5 pages) papers. Papers should be in IEEE 2-column format and submitted at conference@somnog.so
All submitted papers will be subject to peer-review process. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and added to SomNOG website as well as other indexing databases.
