DESCRIPTION
SomNOG’s Conference on Networking and Internet Technology is an annual conference organized as part of the annual network operators’ group events.
The theme for this year’s conference is:
“Creating an enabling environment for the sustainable growth of the Internet industry in Somalia”
The conference has four main sub-themes, and presenters will contribute to the sub-themes as well as the panel discussions that follow. The sub-themes are:
Sub-theme 1: Examining the barriers to the Internet sector’s growth
Sub-theme 2: Enabling factors for the Internet sector’s growth
Sub-theme 3: Drivers of growth: the key players and the expected impact
Sub-theme 4: Role of Telecommunications regulations on the development of the sector.
The conference brings together professionals, engineers, researchers, academicians, Internet service providers and telecommunications companies who are interested in working together towards a more developed Internet industry.

This year, the conference will be held at Jazeera Palace Hotel’s main conference hall on the 22nd and 23rd of November, after the SomNOG workshop which was organized separately at the City University of Mogadishu.
Authors and presenters interested in sharing their contributions are encouraged to send their abstracts to the organizing team before the 17th of October.
