The Somali Network Operators’ Group (SomNOG) organizes capacity-building workshops on networking and Internet technology throughout the year. The technical capacity development workshops and tutorials take place during the first 4 days of SomNOG week.
The purpose of the workshops and tutorials is to develop the skills of the ICT professionals and university graduates interested in taking their technical competencies to the next level through hands-on training sessions. The bottom line is to contribute to the employability of the local university graduates and improve the service delivery of the service providers and operators. Following a 60:40 practice to concepts ratio, both the workshops and the tutorials impart relevant skills that address the market demands and skill gaps that currently exist.
